Airports want $8 per ticket to help fix up the facilities. Airlines resist because they claim it’ll drive away customers and they’ll collect fewer bag fees. And sit-by-the-window fees. And Oh-you-want-air-to-breath? fees. Jerks. Glad I only very rarely fly.

This is an easy to solve problem, simply create a “terminal use fee” and charge the airlines.

The hell you say!

Sure. I just hate hearing the airlines whine about being forced to charge their passengers a fee and not being able to charge another one themselves.

News flash: The airline industry wants to extricate as much money from you as possible and give you as little as possible.

They already have a terminal use fee. Airlines have to pay the airport to fly in and out rent space etc...

hmm something much more insulting then. How about “convenience fee”

It’s ridiculous. Base fair is usually <$300 by the time everything is done I’m usually out $400-500.

They should just charge higher rents so that airports can blame another fee on the airport while charging a premium above the higher rent.
Rookies.
